Founded in New York by Czech immigrant, Joseph Bulova, in 1875, Bulova began as a jewelry and clock repair store before moving into the manufacturing of watch components and jeweled movements in the early 1900s. 

Over time, the brand would come to be known for its unique and funky watches that were made from the '60s into the '80s. Ranging from colorful diving chronographs to eccentric electric watches like the famous Accutron.

This piece, however, was a much more demure, elegant offering that also happened to be cosigned and retailed by the French fashion house, Dior. With an of-the-moment 14k gold case that slots somewhere between tank- and tonneau-shaped, flanked by diamonds and surrounding a dark chocolate brown dial, this is an incredibly cool piece that is going to be unlike anything else out there.

CASE & BRACELET

The excellent 14k gold case has been very gently polished in the past and shows minimal signs of use while retaining very crisp and symmetrical dimensions throughout. The outer edges of the case are encrusted with diamonds that catch the light remarkably as it moves. It features its original signed crown. The case back retains all of its factory engravings and no notable wear. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The "Dior" cosigned chocolate brown dial offers a gorgeous vintage aesthetic, featuring some warm color hues and handsome elements of age. The dial exhibits some minor tonal marks from age though they are invisible to the naked eye. The gold dauphine hands are in excellent condition, showing almost no signs of age.

ACCESSORIES 

None. The watch is keeping time and functioning perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
